As Senior Editor of Breaking News at HuffPost, I coordinate coverage of major news events and lead a global team of reporters covering fast-moving stories, reporting on everything from terror attacks to elections.
Previously, I worked as Senior Politics Editor and Assignment Editor at HuffPost, specializing in coverage of American politics and breaking news. I helped manage HuffPost Politics’ content; monitored audience engagement; ran various social media channels; wrote headlines; edited photos and video; outfitted stories with multimedia elements; and more.
I graduated from American University with my master’s degree in Interactive Journalism in May 2016, and got my bachelor’s in News-Editorial Journalism from West Virginia University in 2011. I’m lucky to be part of the WVU Reed College of Media Visiting Committee, and I’ve been featured on several panels as part of the school’s Festival of Ideas. I’m also a participant in the college’s mentorship program, advising upper-level students about how to break into the world of national media.
I’m also a West Virginia native, lover of pepperoni rolls and mama to a lively puppy named Pickle.
